OPEN CALL: Art Department Doctoral Scholarship at Goldsmiths, University of London

The Art Department at Goldsmiths, University of London, invites applications for a funded three-year Doctoral Scholarship on its world leading Art Research MPhil/PhD programme for September 2023 entry.

Our programme supports advanced innovative art research in Fine Art, Curating, Art Writing and across disciplines, in an environment of ambitious speculation and rigorous experimentation.

In addition to our regular recruitment rounds, we are now seeking applications from outstanding candidates who want to contribute to and expand upon one of the research areas below, working with the named member of staff as primary supervisor for the enquiry:

–The Arts of Planetary Re-Wilding (Ros Gray)
–Queer Art and Identity Forms (Joseph Noonan-Ganley)
–Decoloniality in Asia (Nuria Querol)
–Alternative Art Pedagogies (Elle Reynolds)
–Critical Poetics of Resource Extraction (Audrey Samson)
–Choreographic Material (Edgar Schmitz)

In your application you should outline an original project which falls within one of these fields of study. Candidates may work in any medium and be either practice-led or theory-based, according to the three pathways in our Programme.

The successful candidate will have their full-time home tuition fees paid and receive a stipend to cover living expenses for the three years of the scholarship.
