REVIEW PHOTO:Nicolas Klotz & Elisabeth Perceval
The truth is that I am not the easiest judge of photography, so when I’m excited, the reason is realistic. The photographs of Nicolas Klotz and Elisabeth Perceval, in the basement of George Pompidou Cente, are not elaborate, they do not contain any of the well-known photographic or cinematic tricks, since they come from the cinema, they are simple but very powerful and that is what captivates you. And not only (!) It’s the same square shape, it’s this crystallized paper that they have been printed and the feeling of the emerging light, but most of all it is the curating. It is one of the few times that I see in the same exhibition b&w photos mixed with color photos, not only not to contradict each other, but to create a poetic sequence, focusing on the man and his small but so important everyday life at the end.-Efi Michalarou
