VIDEO:Weaving the Future II (Larissa)-Ifigenia Sdoukou

Embroidery traverses the entire work of Ifigenia Sdoukou, it is her own medium, its own visual language, since it connects tradition, mythology and modern reality in the most subtle and masterful way. In this work we see the spider woman, a mythical creature, one that she especially loves, which she often uses in her work. It is autobiographical, with elements of aesthetic and mental identification, since she unwinds her thread and embroiders her own stories on the canvas and, like the spider woman, excites the viewer, dragging him into the fairy tale, the novel, the narrative.
