Katsigras MuseumThe four same sized artworks by Evdokia Kyrkou, create a section, which expresses the need to rewrite “stories” (white handmade paper), intertwined with new developments in combination with cultural tradition (use of thread). The artist is using the thread as a kind of writing language that unfolds unhindered, sometimes it creates knots and sometimes it loosens them. Decisive role in the works of the artist, although subtle and imperceptible, plays the thread, because she is preoccupied with the idea of Life-the Thread of Life, as well as Light and Shadow. Thus, her works function as carriers of stories that are transformed into fields of memory, which, depending on the experiences of each viewer can also been read as psychographs.
