VIDEO:Weaving the Future II (Larissa)-Marigo Kassi
In parallel with painting, Marigo Kassi, knits stories using cotton yarn and metal threads, that participate in the external testimony of her sculptural artistic essence. Like in “Hide I & II”, where the black yarns narrates the most interesting and subversive stories, leaving room for the viewer to identify with symbols and symbolism, images and visualizations, familiar and unfamiliar, personal or collective, such as the wound resulting from the skinning. In contrast with her artist books where the gold yarn on handmade paper creates a sequence of associations and emotions, related to both the material and the intangible essence of the book, as a spiritual object.
