VIDEO:Weaving the Future II (Larissa)-Penny Geka
Penny Geka weaves objects focusing on the human figure, sometimes locked in, sometimes free, by using cotton thread, newspaper, cloth and various other means of expression she depicts the human emotional and inner state that seems to be connected to the reality of restrictive, forced confinement and fear that we recently experienced due the pandemic. In an artwork work that was created years ago and is almost prophetic, about the dystopia we experienced and from which we hope to be released soon, just like the artist’s figures , since their limbs are flouncy and free.
