VIDEO:Waving The Future II (Larissa)-Artemis Alcalay

In the group exhibition “Waving The Future II” at Larissa Municipal Gallery-G.I. Katsigra Museum, through the meat grinder that produces knitting wool, Artemis Alcalay makes a sarcastic comment on history and the facts that have recorded in the black pages of humanity and the pulping of human existence through systematic control and crackdown mechanisms. While the mirror, with the knitted and the woven human figures act as a memory sacristy, like all her embroideries which with particular sensitivity, all these years, capture the adventure of human existence, the rapid-cycling emotions and the great existential issues that torment her.
