STATEMENT:No Μan Ever Steps Ιn Τhe Same River Twice III
I do not know how many times a man can cross the same River, however certain is that throughout art history, exactly like in literature, we come across works that are very similar, but in the case of the two artists that follow, the artworks have exactly the same starting point, the same aesthetics and the same iconography. The only difference is that that the way for the light for Mariko Mori, whose work preceded, is directly related to her culture -Japanese-, while in the case of Marina Abramović it is acquired. For the first artist the trail for is natural and effortless, and for the second artist is consequence of pain, fatigue and abstraction.
