ART FAIRS:Platforms Project 2021-Parallel Program
Now in its ninth consecutive year, Platforms Project is the international show that indicatively charts the art currently produced through collective initiatives by young artists on the international scene as they join forces to seek answers to contemporary artistic questions. The project is managed by Artemis Potamianou and Michalis Argyrou. The Artistic Director of Platforms Project 2021 is Artemis Potamianou.
A key parallel program in the context of the Platforms Project NET is OPEN STUDIOS, where teaching studios of the Athens School of Fine Arts present the students’ actions and works. For Platforms Project ΝΕΤ 2021, the participants are the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th Painting Studios, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd Sculpture Studios, the Elective Studios 3d modelling and printing studio, the Videoart Studio and the Master in Fine Arts (MFA) of the ASFA.
This year’s KIDS LAB educational program is designed for 4-16-year-olds. Developed by the Dutch platform EX-MÊKH and the artist and art educator Ellen Rodenberg, the program invites children to set up their own mini space ( a small stand/cube) with paper, pencils and colors during the Platforms Project NET, for which they can draw inspiration from the exhibition.
In addition, the program designed by the Greek platform Lab for Arts aims to introduce children to the visual arts and help them find inspiration in the works of major artists.
