OPEN CALL:2020 Ria Keburia Residency
This is Open Call is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious emerging artists and curators to benefit from the Ria Keburia Artist-in-Residence and Curator-in-Residence Program by creating a new body of work as large and complex as desired, to experiment, take a new direction, to get acquainted with a new country and to develop once’s career. Artists and curators can join the residency program for any amount of time, 3 weeks being a minimal duration of stay while living at the peaceful and picturesque 4-star Ambassadori resort.
During the residency, the participants will have the opportunity to focus on their work, connect with other resident artists and curators, create and visit art exhibitions in Tbilisi, and interact with local art scene. Residents will also be able to meet and work with guests of the residency program, all respected professionals from the art field.
The works of artists created on the territory of the residency will be showcased in the exhibition space with the artist cohort of 2019.
Duration of residency
The minimal stay is 3 weeks and depending on the availability.
Accommodation
Located far from urban distractions, Ria Keburia Residency Kachreti with it’s unique and supportive environment offers creative space, time and resources to experiment and expand. Work in progress will be displayed in the gallery space, where artists will have an opportunity to receive feedback and studio visits from residency guests and the local community.

Studio / Workspace
Every resident has a private room where he/she is free to work. In addition we have shared working spaces.
Fees and support
30€ per night for the minimal 3-week period. The cost of stay to be paid upon the arrival at the desk of the residency.

Create authentic work expressing his/her own unique artistic vision or exhibition concept.

Artists interested in participating should download application form from www.riakeburia.com, answer all questions, and attach following files in one PDF document:

3. Describe your residency project plan. Be as specific, realistic and detailed as
possible.
4. Specify art supplies you need for the work in the residence.
5. Detaileddescriptionofanyforthcomingprojects(upcomingcollaborations,
exhibitions, publications, etc.), including all partners involved.
6. Upto5imagesandURLs(in case of video o rperfomance projects) of your works.
The title of the included images must contain your last name, the title of the project/work and year of the work.

7. Letter specifying your preferred dates for the residency and acknowledging that
you will have enough financial resources to pay 30 euro per night accomodation fee for the duration of your 3-week stay. 3 weeks being the minimal length of stay at the residency that could be extended upon request.
NOTE: Please apply at least 1 month ahead of the start of your preferred residency.
Save the application form as .PDF and send it with all documents mentioned above to residency@riakeburia.com. After applying an artist will receive a confirmation letter. Following the selection process anfurther email will be sent with details about dates and accommodation.
An advisory committee of Ria Keburia Residency including international team of curators and arts professionals will evaluate applications and take into consideration the following criteria:
