The Japanese photographer Naoko Tamura, presents in Τaka Ishii Gallery Photography Paris, her new series of works entitled with the ancient Greek word “Thaümata”, a word used to describe the marvels or the wonders of the natural world. With this series she presents to the viewer a mysterious and fleeting world where the reflections on the focusing screen of on a camera is photographed by another, as the reflection of the moon in water. Her photos are interacting with poetry and the mysterious world of dreams, are almost like watercolors with brilliant colors. Not only do these photos push the boundaries between art and photography, they also stretch the viewer’s vision and imagination.-Dimitris Lempesis
