In December 2014, the historic now gallery Yvon Lambert at Street Rue Vieille du Temple, closed its doors, because the owner (Yvon Lambert), decided to close his gallery to focus on his bookshop and his publisher’s activity. The Gallery opened in 1966, and as soon he realized that was no longer the center of Art World, instead to move in New York as other Gallerists, he started to present the best conceptual American artists in Paris. He worked with artists as: Lawrence Weiner, Sol LeWitt, Carl Andre and Donald Judd, then he presented a new generation of artists such as Shilpa Gupta and the sculptor Adel Abdessemed, who was the last artist that had an exhibition in the Gallery. Yvon Lambert had great interest in the bookshop, that opened 2002 in front of the Gallery, and it is still open. In the Bookshop you’ll find a selection of art books, exhibition catalogues, artists books, rare and out of print books, limited edition prints, posters, DVDs, CDs, but also multiples of Louise Bourgeoise and other artist, You can also see exhibitions of artists with a more experimental spirit…
