Paris Photo Los Angeles exhibitors present historical and contemporary bodies of works, cutting edge solo shows, and book projects. The Fair will present 79 premier art galleries and specialized art book dealers at Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood and provides an incredible opportunity for collectors, exhibitors and enthusiasts alike to experience and discover contemporary and historic works within the ambiance of the mythical soundstages and movie sets of the New York Street Backlot. Reuniting exhibitors from 17 countries worldwide, the Fair proposes a panorama exploring how artists have been and are using photography and moving image. For 2015, a focus is made on presentations dedicated to the work of one artist with over 30 gallery solo shows, highlighting both emerging artists and cutting edge young galleries. SOUND & VISION offers visitors a wide array of intellectual perspectives on the use of images from some of the leading international artists and curators working today. The program consists of five conversations taking place over the course of the three days of Paris Photo Los Angeles. Each program brings together a pair of artists for a lively and open dialogue about their artistic practices as well as more philosophical discussions about the status of the image in contemporary society. UNEDITED! is a Paris Photo Los Angeles exhibition program that unveils rare or never-before-seen photographic material. For its 2015 edition, the Archives of R.J. Arnold exhibits for the first time in Los Angeles an exceptional collection of photography from late 19th century California. These rarely-seen glass plate photographs depict the communities of Central California through the eyes of the photographer.
