OPEN CALL:Department of Art seeks Assistant/ Associate/Full Professor of Art/Ceramics

NEW WIGHT_UCLA_TESTThe Department of Art, in the School of the Arts and Architecture, invites applications for a tenure/ tenure-track (assistant/associate/full) position in Ceramics. The candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate art majors in the area of Ceramics, with an emphasis on contemporary studio practices. We are seeking candidates who will actively contribute to creating a community of students, staff, and faculty in the Department and University that is richly diverse in cultural backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints.

Qualifications
–BA or BFA Required.
​–Distinction as an artist working primarily in ceramics.
​–Proven exhibition record.​
–Expertise in the history and current practices in field of ceramics.
​–Knowledge of contemporary art issues.​
–Demonstrated teaching skills.
​–The ceramics program encompasses a wide range of philosophies and practices ranging from vessel production, to sculpture and digital fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of ceramic materials and processes, including digital fabrication.​
–MFA preferred.
