In Orthodoxy there is a very colorful, intense, and powerful ritual, the adornment ή decoration of the Epitaph the Holy Friday, that in the past mainly in the villages and the islands where the nature  in Spring had flourished, women the night of Holy Thursday embellishing the Epitaphs in the Churches and the Chapels with Flowers from the fields. This custom I am chronicling with obsession this ceremony every year, of course it is changing over the years but has not been abolished! It’s a project work in progress…-Efi Michalarou
