212 galleries from 30 countries participate in ARCOmadrid 2015. The General Programme will include 160 galleries, as well as 10 more for #ArcoColombia, 22 for #Opening and 24 for #SoloProjects with over 70 booths dedicated to just one or two artists, the event has maintained its focus on exploring the projects undertaken by artists. Increasing the loyalty of the participating galleries, the incorporation of new galleries and the involvement by emerging nations in the ARCOmadrid are the main features that characterise this edition and have helped construct a coherent trade fair in which quality and criteria are the distinguishing hallmarks. Besides participation from 10 Colombian art galleries selected by curator, Juan Gaitán, the programme run by #ArcoColombia (in collaboration with the Government of Colombia) also include an institutional space at ARCOmadrid 2015. The space has been designed by a Colombian architect and will be used to present the various artistic movements, publications and events that were instrumental in building the art scene in Colombia. The event will dedicate three days (27&28/2 and 1/3) to lovers of contemporary art and the general public, who will be offered certain services and advantages for making the most of their visit.
