The solo exhibition of Christos Charisis entitled “Neverland” is a painting installation consisting of three paintings and a video. In his latest work, the artist opens to the viewers a door, a small chink to their deepest fears. The artist discusses the difficulty to keep someone with the flow of time and cope with the increasing demands of a constant maturity. Of those exact fears springs the uninterrupted need for a shelter. The shelter that which protects indifferently and without having to spell things out, from the ghosts of the outside world. “Natural Histories” is an exhibition of two painted bronze sculptures by Georg Baselitz and Mark Grotjahn. Baselitz with the artwork “Römischer Gruß/Roman Salute” (2004), seeks to expand the scope of traditional representation in art. Baselitz has constantly revisited and reimagined his chosen motifs over time. Similarly, the sculpture “Mask” Grotjahn started from spontaneous assembling pieces of cardboard and eventually transformed in a mold to create a bronze sculpture.
