At Grand Palais, after FIAC 2016 that gathered many visitors, collectors and experts, Paris Photo 2016 (10-13/11/16) confirmed its position as world leading photography fair through dynamic sales, high-quality curatorial projects, a versatile program of signatures and conferences, 153 galleries, 30 book publishers, 1,250 exhibited artists and record breaking attendance. This anniversary edition has been critically acclaimed by collectors, cultural institutions, and photographers from all over the world. The Paris Photo attracted 62,000 visitors which is an 8% increase on last year’s fair, reflecting the public’s growing interest in the photographic medium. “Paris Photo, for its 20th edition, united more than ever before principal figures in photography, confirming its key position in the international calendar. Platform for reflection, discoveries and encounters, Paris Photo presents the best in the market for photography while offering the largest panorama of the diverse practices of the medium”, Florence Bourgeois, Paris Photo Director and Christoph Wiesner, Paris Photo Artistic Director. At the same period, as an extension of the fair, a lot of photographic exhibitions inaugurated all over Paris like the exhibition with works of Andres Serrano at La maison Européenne de la Photographie.
