BOOK:Out Of Time, Skulptur Projekte Münster

Skulptur Projekte Münster is an exhibition of sculptures in public places in the town of Münster. Held every ten years since 1977, the exhibition presents works in different places all over the town, thereby confronting art with public places. “Out of Time”, is the second in a series of three publications which accompanies the preparations of Skulptur Projekte Münster 2017. Each publication takeS up a term that has proven to have a meaningful relation to sculpture: the body, time and place. “Out of Body” was published in spring 2016 and Out of Place will appear in spring 2017. “Out of Time” contains perspectives on the archive, late-capitalist time, post-communist monuments and several works from past editions of Skulptur Projekte. Each publication explores a different basic parameter concerning how sculpture and projects in public space are experienced, body, time and place. Edited by John Beeson and Britta Peters for Skulptur Projekte, the magazines l incorporate not only essays and texts by international authors but also topics generated by events organised in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts Münster.-Efi Michalarou
