In the summer of 2012, David Zwirner Gallery mounted an unconventional summer group show called “People Who Work Here”. The self-explanatory title of the exhibition, couldn’t begin to capture the internal comradery the exhibition fostered. The exhibition included 16 artists, most of them art handlers. The 2016 version is much more expansive, presenting the work of 37 artists.

Curated by Marina Gluckman and Jaime Schwartz, both of the gallery’s Research and Exhibitions department, The exhibition “People Who work Here” bridges two sides of the art world that are commonly thought of as isolated from one another, presenting the interconnectedness of the New York art world and the relationships that exist between new and established artists in New York. Featuring an inclusive group of 37 artists who work in a wide range of media, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, and installation, this is the second of a series of shows devoted to showcasing artists who work at David Zwirner, the first which was presented in 2012. A series of performances will be held in conjunction with the exhibition on three Thursday evenings in July. Participating Artists: Cy Amundson, Erika Anderson, Justin Davis Anderson, John Andrew, Ben Berlow, Spike Blake, Dan Bradica, William Carrà, Vanessa Castro, Chelsea Cater, Lily Colman, Kyle Combs, Hope Dickens, Xavier Donnelly, Joel Dugan, Joel Fennell, Natalie Rae Good, Dan Gratz, Young Sun Han, Brent Harada, Rebecca Holmberg, David King, Brendan Loper, Dane Mainella, Sam Martineau, Clive Murphy, Colin O’Con, David Ording, Steve Pauley, Jay Pluck, Owen Rundquist, Mike Schreiber, Emily Shanahan, William Stein, Nickolaus Typaldos, Aengus Woods and Rhys Ziemba.
