ART FAIRS: Platforms Project-Independent Art Fair 2024

Platforms Project – Independent Art Fair, is an international exhibition which has always aimed to present the independent art scene through artists’ group initiatives. The Platforms Project contributes continuously to the shared search for solutions to contemporary questions of art and the indicative mapping of artistic activity as it is produced today in the framework of group initiatives of young artists in the international art environment. Platforms Project – Independent Art Fair, 2024 is a meeting place for art groups – platforms and artists from 25 countries, will be presented at the Tobacco Factory in Athens, with a multifaceted parallel programme. Admission is free for the public. in the iconic building of the Tobacco Factory (Lenormann 218) with workshops, performances and talks. The historic building of the Tobacco Factory, a landmark for the city of Athens, has been renovated to become a permanent contemporary cultural and social space –open to all –that functions as a dynamic hub for meeting and exchanging ideas. It has recently been associated with important art exhibitions. It is therefore an ideal venue for Platforms Project 2024, since for the last 12 years, this Independent Art Fair has created the conditions and platform for hundreds of artists and theorists from all over the world to meet and exchange ideas in the visual arts. Platforms Project 2024 will present platforms from 25 countries (Greece, Spain, UK, Sweden, France, Denmark, Netherlands, Cyprus, Poland, Spain, Russia, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Austria, Austria, Israel, Turkey, USA, Ukraine, Canada, Finland, Armenia, Italy, Latvia, Germany, United Kingdom).  The selection was made from hundreds of applications received following an open online call. Platforms Project 2024 will involve 62 art platforms with more than 900 artists, extending the global network that has been formed and continues to grow and collaborate over the past twelve years.
