OPEN CALL: Art Explora—Cité internationale des arts Residency Programme 2025
Art Explora, the international foundation that fosters new encounters between arts and audiences, locally, nationally and internationally, is pleased to announce that the call for applications for the Art Explora—Cité internationale des Arts Residency Programme 2025 is now open.
Committed to supporting international artists, Art Explora created in 2021 a biannual residency programme in collaboration with the Cité internationale des arts in Paris. Since its first edition, this residency programme has welcomed over 80 residents of all ages, disciplines and nationalities, at the Cité internationale des arts—Montmartre site in the heart of Paris.
Until November 8, 2024, artists and collectives of artists, researchers and curators from all around the world are invited to apply for this unique residency programme, with projects that question relations between art, science and technology, and address social and ecological issues of our time. The fifth edition of the residency programme will be divided in two sessions of six months, respectively starting in March and September 2025.
In partnership with the new Vila 31 x Art Explora residency program in Albania, two artists will be selected to participate in an exchange between Paris and Tirana. The program consists of a three-month residency at the Villa Montmartre and a three-month residency at Villa Tirana in Albania.
Three residency programs are offered:
SOLO Programme: Open to artists only, for residencies of 3 or 6 months during 2 sessions: March-August 2025 and September 2025-February 2026.

For this programme, only one studio-apartment (one room with a double bed, a workspace, a kitchen, and a bathroom) can be made available to one member of the collective. The workspace can be shared with other members.
If you are interested in applying to multiple programmes, you must submit a separate application for each programme.

Each resident receives:

A furnished and equipped studio-apartment of approximately 50m² (one double bed).
A living allowance of 1000 euros per month.
