ART-REVIEW: Almost Nothing-Marian Goodman Gallery,Paris
One of the best group exhibitions in Paris this days, till 31/6/15, is on presentation at the Marian Goodman Gallery, entitled Almost Nothing. The exhibition is a selection of works by: Leonor Antunes, Christian Boltanski, Carol Bove, Nina Canell, Lygia Clark, Simon Fujiwara, Marine Hugonnier, Koo Jeong A, Seung-Taek Lee, François Morellet, Gabriel Sierra, Rayyane Tabet, Niele Toroni, Richard Tuttle and Cerith Wyn Evans, negotiating the meaning of nothing not as inexistent, but as a minimum. The works of the exhibition are moving in a direction that starts from absolute abstraction, since the works-photographs-videos and paintings, are very specific, they encapsulate the idea of post, the intermediate space and time. Through the absolute white, black and the neon-light, an extremely important dialogue is created, regardless of the expression media and the forms in relation to the architecture of the space, leading the viewer to deeper thoughts and philosophical searches, in a poetic way.-Efi Michalarou
